Eup as county seat

I lived in downcountry Korea for several years, in the early 70s while in the Peace Corps. Generally there was only one eup per gun in south Cholla province where I lived, and the gun offices were in that eup - so we thought of the eup as the county seat. It also typically had the largest market in the gun - so I could ask people to come into town on the next eup market day, and all over the gun they knew when that was (2, 7 in my gun, HwaSun). --Snow (talk) 21:43, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
