Neither Specific nor Objective

In its current incarnation, this article is largely an invective against all benzodiazepine medications and provides little objective data on estazolam.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.18.19.169 (talk) 02:12, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article was listed as "start class", I have updated it to "C class". Estazolam is not available in very many countries world wide and is not very commonly prescribed so development of this wiki article has been largely dormant. I have updated the article with information regarding its benefits in the short term management of insomnia as well as other relevant data specific to estazolam. There is not that many publications in the medical literature specifically concerning estazolam. The majority of the recent medical literature is critical of benzodiazepines.--Literaturegeek | T@1k? 18:28, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gave the article a partial proofreading against references. Article needs review w.r.t. relevance of animal experiments to human pharmacology. Clinical pharmacology to be kept separate from highly speculative animal and in-vitro. 70.137.182.228 (talk) 23:16, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good job anon, a lot of those edits were old edits. I tweaked some of your edits. There is very little information on estazolam in the literature to write up a proper article on it.--Literaturegeek | T@1k? 17:03, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tolerance and dependence — Elderly

The last sentence of Tolerance and dependence, "The short-term benefits of benzodiazepines on sleep begin to reduce after a few days due to tolerance to the hypnotic effects of benzodiazepines in the elderly.[13]", belongs in the following section Elderly; the ref cited is explicitly re elderly. Actually, the comment applies to all ages, and should stand (with a different cite) in this section without the "elderly" qualification or as "..., particularly in the elderly". I don't have time right now to check out the refs, this note is a reminder to self but feel free to jump in and make the change. D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 22:17, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
