NAVADMIN 310/17, dated 22DEC2017 describes the breast insignia as follows:
(1) Description. A gold metal pin with two oak leaf branches facing a silver circle centered on a gold fouled anchor inscribed with a silver three?bladed propeller, on gold background overlaid on crossed U.S. Navy officer swords, rendered in gold. The tips of the propeller blades trisect the circle and the south facing blade is vertical.
The illustration in this wiki article shows the north-facing blade is vertical. Is there a different illustration showing the final breast insignia design? MFreidberg (talk) 15:26, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
In my day the EDO was the senior ENLISTED person of the Engineering department on duty at any time the ship was in port. I guess times have changed. Eric Cable ! Talk 12:42, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
