Can the following piece of wiki-code be added so readers can view the English translation of a citation title that is written in Spansih?

I would also suggest the addition of making a wiki-link to the name of the publication elDiario.es.
I would appreciate any changes that can be made to improve this initial translation. I think it is important that a reader would be able to read this article, along with the related French and English that were written in early March 2013 to show that the articles appear to be (semi-)original material and not rubber stamp clones that was translated into a new language.
I'm not a fluent Spanish speaker by any means but this machine translation feels loose to me. I think that "in the place they deserve" is not really very accurate: in English this phrase has a sinister connotation, whereas from context I infer that "poniendo ... en el lugar que se merecen" is more like "giving the recognition they deserve". I should also point out that the El Diario is published in Spain and I know that Castilian Spanish is slightly different from that used in Mexico or South America so that phrases that might be quite proper to use in one country might also have slightly sinister connotations in another country, so we do need a person fluent in Spanish to tweak the translation. -- 68.50.32.85 (talk) 03:23, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think a less literal translation will be necessary. Something like "This 'Wikipedian' is giving women scientists the recognition they have earned" (or "the recognition they deserve") or "This 'Wikipedian' is putting women scientists where they belong", although the latter still has a slightly sinister tone in English. – Jonesey95 (talk) 06:14, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After reading the input from other editors, I agree with both Jonesey95 and Granger that we should move away from a direct literal translation and create a title that tries to retain the "flavor" or "tone" of the main body of the cited article. Does anyone have sufficient Spanish language skills to read the actual article in its native language? Does any of the suggested English titles impart the English language reader the same "feeling" of the main body of the article that it gives to a Spanish language reader? (Did it anyone noticed that the Spanish author used the feminine form of "Wikipedian" and not the neutral form?) The cited article gives me the impression that the subject is the leader in a fight against a great injustice through the use of some phrases. I have added a translation per the discussion above. I also noticed that the Spanish article uses (requires, really) the feminine form of "Wikipedian", which English does not have. Translation is a tricky business, but my feeling is that while the gender of the scientists is important to the meaning of these headlines and the article, the gender of the Wikipedian is, while clearly noted, not what the article is about. I think that translating the headline as "This female Wikipedian..." puts too much emphasis on Temple-Wood's gender and creates a linguistic construction that we do not typically use here. If English had a shorter, gendered form like "Wikipedienne" or something similar, that might be a good translation, but that is not our practice, and it would probably also have the disadvantage of implying that "Wikipedians" are male by default. If Keilana has a preference, she is welcome to join this esoteric conversation, but is by no means obligated to. – Jonesey95 (talk) 05:40, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
