Fast Facts

Notable Projects

We need information on more projects, both current and previous, around the school. This is an ideal way to expand the content of the page while showcasing current and previous students' talents/efforts.

It would make more sense to promote these if they actually had some notability. I can understand if there is a section about how strong the Media department is at the school and that there are annual award nights for it but to have an entire section devoted to an individual project that hasn't even got off the ground and is doubtful for commercial or critical success is just cheap advertising really. Notable alumni and Notable attendees

Are these not the same thing? And seeing as there are only two people, is it really necessary?

Yeah they're the same thing. A lot of the shcool pages have them though under "alumni" so it would be worth keeping. Normy 04:19, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also David Bathie, "geek" from hit Channel 7 reality TV Show "Beauty and the Geek" (Season 2) graduated from Eltham College in 2008. Mark Bellofiore should be added as a notable attendee - he competed at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics in C2 Slalom. [1]

Renaming request

The College has not used the "of Education" in its title for over 5 years. Can you please advise how to update the title. To verify this please see the ELTHAM College website and Facebook pages, and indeed the logo for the college.Emmiecav (talk) 02:09, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The move struck the minor problem that Wikipedia already describes a school called Eltham College in London. Hence the "(Victoria)" qualification. HiLo48 (talk) 02:35, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Change of Principal

Due to the fact that the principal of the College has now changed to Mr Simon Le Plastrier, the name of the principal displayed on the page should be changed to reflect this. Also, I believe that a table should be added to the page which lists both former and current principals, along with the amount of time they served in their role. Due to the fact that the information on the past principals and their dates of service are located within the school portal, I am only able to provide the information without citing a source. The relevant information is listed below:
1st Principal: Mr Desmond D. Davey - 1973 to 1983,
2nd Principal: Mr Brian Webber - 1984 to 1986,
3rd Principal: Mr John Brennan - 1987 to 1999,
4th Principal: Dr David Warner - 2000 to 2013,
5th Principal: Mr Simon Le Plastrier - 2014-.
