Why the share of agriculture is indicated as 40% in the main text and as 20% in the table?

Why on earth does this article begin by making a comment about the physical size of Moldova - what has that got to do with the economy of Moldova? Wouldn't it be a a lot more appropriate to begin with the section that says that Moldova is the poorest country in Europe? ACEOREVIVED (talk) 19:43, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am referring to the opening words that say that Moldova is the second smallest of the Soviet republics and the most densely populated. It seems to me that that infomration should go in the article on Moldova, not here, and we should begin with a reference to how this country is the poorest country in Europe. Also, I do not think it approrpriate to say "It remains the poorest country in Europe" - just say it is the poorest country in Europe. ACEOREVIVED (talk)

Conflicting information

"70% of total electrical energy power consumed in Moldova is imported from Ukraine and only 30% is produced in Moldova." with a later breakdown showing only about 20-25% of electricitty imports. Currency Generation

I've checked online forums, asked on QA sites, and asked a couple of economists in Moldova, but no one seems to know how money is created in Moldova. UK has the central bank. Canada has the chartered banks and the bank of Canada to create money. Where and when is money created in Moldova? Unexplained Overview reversion.

Hello,

On Nov 20th I made an edit to this article adding parts of the Overview from the World Bank site. I then received a message on my </nowiki>user page stating:

I need to see documentation that World Bank text is public domain. I don't think that's the case.
Their site is clearly marked to the bottom:

I am looking at this page, which I'm sure someone thought was a marvel of transparency, but it looks to me like bureaucracy gone amok.
It gets worse here.

Well, the page in question: The World Bank in Moldova has the following link at the bottom: Legal --> which in turn links to "Terms and Conditions of Using Our Site. There the text specifies:

This seems to me like giving permission & even encouraging the use of materials/information from their website, but without any warranty or liability placed on them as a result of such public posts. No, you don't understand what I said -- the terms and conditions from the World Bank state that using any information from their site must respect their Terms & Conditions. Those terms & conditions prohibit the commercial use of most (if not all) material from them, including information:

What I'm trying to say is that citing the World Bank site as a source on Wikipedia already conflicts with the non-commercial policy that the WB has. Either that, or the terms do not apply in the way that you understand & are telling me here, bc it would mean the World Bank can never be cited as a source, at all, ever on Wikipedia. Written information can be used freely to an extent under certain conditions because of the Fair Use exception of copyright law. Wikipedia does not make commercial use of the information as far as I know. People or entities who reuse information found in Wikipedia should weigh whether particular extracts would be fair use for them or not.The bar to allow such reuse is higher when it is for commercial purposes but that's responsibility of such users. Per the terms of use, "Re-use of content that we host is welcome, though exceptions exist for content contributed under "fair use" or similar exemptions under copyright law".
