Establishing Notability

I am new to posting in the form of new articles or entries into Wikipedia and I admit that I have not got the hang of what really constitutes notability yet.

As far as I understand it the problem with the EasyEDA page is that there are no links to either independent articles or reviews from academic sources or from news sources that are themselves reputable and notable.

I can see that there's a problem with the reference to the article on EDN since I wrote it so that fails independence.

Similarly the link to the press release because obviously that comes from EasyEDA itself.

I assume that this press posting that I added will fail for the same reasons:

http://www.datsyn.com/press-release/5469/2015/10/12/FREE-Electronic-Schematic-Software-Is-Now-Available-For-Circuit-Simulation-Online

However, I am a bit taken aback by the failure of the articles on the Circuits Today and Hackaday sites to carry sufficient weight simply because EasyEDA is aimed at exactly that audience: Hobbyists, Hackers and Makers so that is where the reviews etc. are likely to come from.

EasyEDA is not really aimed at the mainstream commercial customer the way for example Design Spark or Upverter is so is unlikely to get into the mainstream press.

I am in the process of trying to find a press release or statement from the investors but that may take a few more days.

There are also some links to chinese publications I could add but of course they are in chinese so may not be very helpful for the english speaking reader. For example:

Would a translation be acceptable?

Am I wasting my time or would you reconsider or at least postpone your decision to delete the article?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Signality (talkcontribs) 11:14, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you're wasting your time, we could only be sure if a formal Articles for deletion (AfD) is held and the article fails. By all means include 3rd party citations in Chinese, as I understand it, that most of us can't read them without a translation program does not make them less valid. I have gone ahead and established some more sources, mostly from the hobbyist community, all in English, to help establish notability. At what point can the banner be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NoraCodes (talkcontribs) 23:12, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm removing the banner. Leonora Tindall // NoraCodes 20:06, 4 February 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by NoraCodes (talkcontribs)
