Verify Construction of Station

The article says "MetroNorth" built the station house in the 1980's. This seems unlikely, as the station building appears older. Were the high-level platforms built in the 80's (next to existing station buildings).

Also, a bit more nitpicking, MetroNorth rarely builds station infrastructure. The tracks and station platforms are owned by the state of Connecticut, and the state is responsible for most major construction (MetroNorth only performs routine maintenance to operate the platforms). It is more likely the state built the platforms in 1980's. Rarely does the state own the parking lots. More likely the city of Norwalk owns the parking lots. If the station buildings (distinct from the platforms), it is more likely the city built these, replicating the history design similar to other stations on the line. The building does in fact date to the 1980s; Roy and Belletzkie agree on that, and looking at historic aerials it's present in 1991 but not 1985. Roy specifically names both the 1980s construction of the building and the 2005 renovation as Metro-North work.
