Lot of only semi-correct info was on this page. I have a copy of TIA-530-A (December 2003 as approved in May 1992) "High Speed 25 Position Interface for Data Terminal Equipment and Data Circuit-Terminating Equipment, Including Alternative 26-Position Connector" and used it to try to correct some of the info. I would share the document, but it is copyrighted. It is available for purchase from global.ihs.com .
First, the correct name is currently TIA-530-A, not EIA-530 or RS-530.
Second, the current version is TIA-530-A dated 1992 which contains several changes from the original 1987 standard. Altoids boxes (talk) 19:15, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
