Dwarven
How did this get moved to Dwarf Crocodile? Since when is "crocodile" a proper noun? I'd move it back if it didn't generate a double-redirect, & I'd say it still needs doing. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 13:54, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Monotypic
Does this species belong to a monotypic genus?
- Last I checked, it depends who you ask. Some folks advocate splitting the two subspecies into species, others don't. Mokele (talk) 12:06, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

I seriously doubt that these are Osteolaemus, to me they look more like young nile crocodiles, not to mention Aswan is way out of their known range. See the pertinent page over at arkive.org for good comparison. Dracontes (talk) 01:30, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
- You're right, I'll delete it from the page. Definitely small Nile crocs. HCA (talk) 13:22, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
