mikkanarxi,

Hi, I see you don't do discussions on your page, only on the article discussion page. So, please don't delete them, while I research the issue. I have contacted someone that hopefully will know. If you have a helpful link it would be most appriciated. ThanksTalkAbout 02:47, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the second paragraph: "There are many different types of drum circles! A Community Drum Circle is a place for a person to express themselves..." contradicts the first paragraph ("there are 3 types of drum circles") and is grammatically incorrect ("a person to express himself or herself" not "themselves")

Actually, the use of a plural pronoun is becoming a grammatically acceptable way of using gender neutral pronouns, even when the noun to which it refers is not necessarily plural. Still, it would be preferable to phrase it, "...is a place for people to express themselves..." --Daniel (talk) 04:55, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History

Oh, please review the historical impact of the participants before deleting.

  • Babatunde Olatunji God Father of Drumming
  • Ta Ke Ti Na I have researched this and it is correct. I do recognise that someone did put in fluff and that I agree with removing that. ThanksTalkAbout 02:47, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Freddythehat

Can we discuss the major changes and the theme being instuctional/corporate drum circles vs Drum Circle. The photo with only the drums is more inclusive of all types of drumming and shows various drums. Please keep in mind that wikipedia is not an {{Advert|date=December 2007}}. I have placed the information you submitted back into the article in a more appropriate place. ThanksTalkAbout 05:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the opening paragraph is innaccurate and misleading. I have no problem with my contribution being moved however I think the line "In Western countries, drum circles have some association with Hippie counterculture." should be removed from the opening paragraph. Unless it is balanced with other cultural associations..Freddythehat 09:01, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Types of Drum

Perhaps a section on the types of drum commonly found in circles, or in each type, would be useful. I came here thinking of the "anarchic drum circle" type, wondering what sort are common. ovb Djembe, but what others?Jugglerpete (talk) 21:45, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Style, bias

This article is nearly worthless. The writing style is clearly not Wikipedian, and the language is packed with bias and nearly completely uncited. Many values (real or imagined, I know not) of the drum circle are given the any support. If only I knew how to properly tag this article that it could be cleaned up 86.25.254.35 (talk) 15:19, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
