  • Weak support, probably enough more notable than an Ohio city commissioner. But neutrality is far more important than the naming question, and will be much more difficult. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 17:12, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Although internet searches (Google, Google books, etc.) indicate that the New Jersey politician is a bit more notable, that could change. The New Jersey Zimmer is running for US Senator. If he loses the election, and the Ohio Zimmer runs for US Senator in a few years, the notability factor would likely be reversed. Since both Dick Zimmers are US politicians, I think disambiguation is important, and since they are politicians, notability is fairly transient. Furthermore, as mentioned above, neutrality is also an issue. We wouldn't want people to question whether a move is politically motivated, and these two happen to be affiliated with different US political parties.   • Weak oppose. A former Congressman is more notable than a city commissioner, to be sure, but why the rush? If he wins, we'll obviously move him. If he loses, he should stay where he is. Let's decide this when the voters do in November. Coemgenus 11:33, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

– The previous move request reached no consensus because of a conflict with a page for an Ohio politician with the same name. That page, Dick Zimmer (Ohio politician), has since been deleted. Dick Zimmer is currently a disambiguation page, which can in turn be moved to Richard Zimmer to disambiguate Dick Zimmer from Richard Zimmer (general).   • Support per nomination. As of this writing, Wikipedia has only one main title header for "Richard Zimmer" and only one for "Dick Zimmer".
