What is the correct name of the UK's Olympic team?

Is the UK's Olympic team "Great Britain" or "Great Britain and Northern Ireland"?

"English Tourist Board"?

This article claims that the Dept is responsible for a body called the "English Tourist Board". I have not been able to verify the existence of such a body and have therefore nominated that article for deletion. Please see:

Northern Ireland Status?

The article states that "While the Northern Ireland Executive remains suspended, culture, sport and tourism are the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Office." I thought the Northern Ireland Executive was no longer suspended? Should this be updated? --Joshua BishopRoby 00:09, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Messed up big time here

Going off the Cabinet Office's latest List of ministerial responsibilities, I tried to move the page to take account of this, but put the "Olympics" in the wrong place so it went though even though it actually seems that they haven't changed name anyway. This page needs to go back to Department for Culture, Media and Sport which is undoubtedly the COMMONNAME (and probably the official one as well). ninety:one 17:13, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

External link to UK Dept of Culture Media Olympics and Sport

It seems that an external link on this interesting site (at present No. 1) does not connect. It also however seems that the website used is in fact identical with that of the government, namely http://www.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/content/department-culture-olympics-media-and-sport . I have tried to correct it a couple of times and I am afraid I do not understand the reason for what seems to be a problem, which certainly exists for myself. I am afraid I am unable to understand why this seems to be the case, but if there is a problem it presumably has something to do with the government website itself?

Ungrammatical Name

"Department for Digital" doesn't make any sense whatsoever. It doesn't accord with normal English usage. It is not just poor style, but literally ungrammatical, as though one could have a "Department for Agricultural" or "Ministry for Foreign". The usual thing to do in such a situation is to append a noun like "Affairs", as in "Secretary for [adjective] Affairs".

This should probably be mentioned, so the government can change it before someone notices and makes a mockery of them.

Proposed move
