Notability?

I'm struggling to find any reliable third party references to support this text. He's clearly owned some newspapers at various points as I've found this and this (scroll down to entry on Balitmore). But there's no mention of him that I can see at The Tennessee Walking Horse Association. The text of the article needs work as well. I need to move onto other things now.
