Updates & Additions

{{|Help me}} I work for Rubenstein Communications and on behalf of DLA Piper I'd like to propose the follow updates and additions. To mitigate conflict of interest issues, I ask that an editor please review and edit accordingly. NinaSpezz (talk) 21:42, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Info box: The firm has offices in more than 30 countries and is not headquartered at any particular office. I propose deleting this line from the info box.

1st sentence: As mentioned above, the firm has offices in more than 30 countries. To call the firm “Anglo-American multinational” is inaccurate. “Global law firm” more accurately describes company.

2005 to 2010: The rebranded name "DLA Phillips Fox" is no longer in use (2nd to last paragraph), as reflected in "2010 to present" when DLA Piper and DLA Phillips Fox merged. In order to avoid confusion, would it be possible to either delete "with Phillips Fox rebranding as DLA Phillips Fox" or add "at that time"?

2010 to present: DLA Piper is no longer aligned with Turkish law firm Yüksel Karkın Küçük.[1]?

Notable staff (updates):

US Senator George Mitchell is Chairman Emeritus as of 2012, which can be reflected by adding, "He has served as Chairman Emeritus since 2012.[2]"

Tom Daschle left the firm in 2014, which can be reflected by saying, "was a Policy Adviser… from 2009 to 2014.[3]"

Notable staff (additions):

James Blanchard, former US Governor and former Ambassador to Canada, has been Partner since 1996.[4]

José María Aznar, former Prime Minister of Spain, has been Senior Adviser to DLA Piper’s Global Board since 2013.[5][6]

Ray LaHood, former secretary of the Department of Transportation, has been Senior Policy Adviser since 2014.[7]

Bart Chilton, former US Commodity Futures Trading Commissioner, has been Senior Policy Adviser since 2014.[8]

Saxby Chambliss, former US Senator, has been Partner since 2015.[9]

I'm currently looking it and will see what I can add. Cheers! SwisterTwister talk 19:05, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
@SwisterTwister: Thank you for your kind assistance. I see most of the requested edits have been implemented.
Would you mind taking a look at the note for the 2005 to 2010 section above? I didn't see any edits there.
In my note regarding the 2010 to present section, I mentioned the alliance ended in 2014, not 2015. And I believe the clarification was accidentally added just after the text describing the alliance with a Brazil-based law firm, which is still active.
The text added to the George Mitchell section of Notable staff contains "2012" twice. Could you delete "since 2012" from the end of that sentence and also delete the stray quotation mark just after the accompanying citation?
Also in the Notable staff section, Tom Daschle was Policy Adviser until October 2014, not December 2015.
Would you mind making these corrections or let me know if mind if I do so? NinaSpezz (talk) 19:40, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
Made corrections as discussed above. NinaSpezz (talk) 15:14, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
