The first paragraph: DISA is a company founded in Denmark (with the name Compagnie Madsen A/S) which since 1900 has produced metal casting products.

In 1936 it changed name from Dansk Rekyl Riffel Syndikat A/S to Dansk Industri Syndikat A/S and was a defence manufacturer most notable for producing the Madsen machine gun and Madsen M-50. Should be changed to: DISA (Dansk Industri Syndikat A/S) is a multinational Danish manufacturer of foundry sand casting equipment. DISA is a subsidiary of Norican Group and has its main headquarters and manufacturing base in Taastrup, Denmark, with other manufacturing plants in China and India.

DISA's principal activity is the manufacture of green sand molding equipment for sand casting, plus allied services and digital products.[1] The majority of its customers are grey iron foundries.

The company is known for introducing the flaskless, vertical molding process to the market with its DISAMATIC automated molding machines.

The History section should be changed to: DISA has a long manufacturing history.[2] Founded in 1900 as Compagnie Madsen A/S to produce V.H.O Madsen's light machine gun, it then manufactured a wide range of products, from sewing machines and refrigerators to motorcycles and petrol pumps.

Since 1961, DISA has specialized in green sand foundry equipment. DISA is best known for inventing the DISAMATIC vertical molding line, first revealed in 1962 and sold commercially from 1964.

DISA acquired foundry equipment manufacturers BMD in 1986, then V&S shot blasting in 2000. DISA Group was formed in 2000 when it acquired Georg Fischer's foundry equipment division.

In September 2008, Wheelabrator Group and DISA Group merged to form Norican Group. In May 2017, Norican Group purchased ItalPresseGauss and StrikoWestofen which specialize in aluminum die casting technology.

Add a section called: Products DISA manufactures and maintains all the main equipment required for a modern green sand foundry except pouring systems.[4] Molding systems[5] form the majority of its production.

Molding Vertical molding Vertical molding is a very efficient way to quickly and automatically create a string of flaskless high-precision sand moulds that are vertically parted and poured.[6] The fastest current DISAMATIC machine[7] produces up to 555 uncored or 485 cored moulds per hour.

Matchplate molding The DISA MATCH[8] matchplate molding machine employs a plate with patterns mounted on both sides.[9] This offers greater speed and mold accuracy compared to older horizontal techniques like jolt squeeze.

Horizontal molding Horizontal flask molding[10] is the traditional way to automate mold production. It is especially suited to large and heavy parts. DISA manufactures two horizontal types: the turn-style DISA FLEX[11] and the jolt-squeeze DISA ARPA.

Digital products DISA supplies digital products[12] including the Monitizer[13] process monitoring and predictive analytics tools. It partners with artificial intelligence vendor DataProphet[14] for casting quality optimization tools.

Other products Other equipment includes conveyor systems which transport new molds from the molding machine to be filled with molten metal, and then to cooling and “shake-out” where castings are separated from the molds. DISA produces sand mixing and cooling[15] equipment and numerous other foundry accessories such as core technologies.[16]

Finally, add a section called: Global centers Global centers DISA's US center has been based in LaGrange, Texas since 1988. In 2022, DISA and the three other Norican Group brands will move all manufacturing and operations to the new LaGrange Technology hub.[17] DISA has a longstanding manufacturing presence in India and China and a technology transfer policy that makes modern foundry equipment designs available for local production.[18]

India Incorporated in 1984, DISA India Limited is 74.82% owned by DISA Holding A/S and part of the Norican Group. The remaining shares are publicly owned and listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. DISA India also owns Bhadra Castalloy, an alloy steel foundry in Bhadravati that is part of the Castalloy Group, another Norican subsidiary.

The Tumkur facility[19] in Karnataka State, South India opened in 1984 and is DISA India's headquarters. It employs 160 people and has produced the DISAMATIC C3 since 2011. DISA India has a further manufacturing facility in Hosakote and a research and development center in Bangalore.

China DISA's Changzhou[20] manufacturing center commenced operation in 1997. A new, larger Norican Group factory opened in Hanjiang in 2020.[21]
