According to (Dietrich, 2011) Cyamodus was a plant eater that fed on seaweeds.

- Over 10 years later, now that study is shown that not accepted widely. Most of recent papers about placodonts refers criticization of his study. Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 06:49, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
C.G. Diedrich
This article relies too much on Diedrich's work. As noted in the article, Diedrich's claims are rather idiosyncratic in the study of placodonts and are not accepted by most researchers. I think it is needed to rely on more credible studies, such as the original description of species. Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 08:22, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
