Discussion of Status of Free Blacks in Illinois

This discussion is somewhat incomplete, because it leaves out the fact that free blacks were not permitted to reside in Illinois, and the penalty for doing so was sale into slavery.198.229.212.20 (talk) 23:51, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
