Improving the lead

Hi, the lead to the article seems a bit unprofessional in tone. I'm not sure how to improve it. Would it be possible to have someone look at that? Thanks.114.91.220.9 (talk) 17:12, 13 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

The "Criminalisation" section isn't sourced (the sources which are cited inline are not directly relevant). It is clearly written entirely within one viewpoint and should be either completely rewritten or deleted.

Much of this criticism applies to the article as a whole, as well.Morgy2000p (talk) 23:43, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Morgy2000p:I have reverted the article's lede to the point prior to being completely re-worked on 13 December 2014. Even at this early stage, it already had a non-NPOV statement, so I removed that as well. I'm usually not much of a deletionist, but I believe that, in this case, it's important to excise all unacceptable statements and work from a minimal state.
