Is this really needed as a stand-alone article?

What do we make of this article, do we really needed as a stand-alone article? Rather merge any nuggets from it to Paris Agreement? It was created in 2017 with this comment: "14:47, 23 November 2017‎ JIKO CM talk contribs‎  13,837 bytes +13,837‎  I edited a completely new page on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and linked it both to the german version of the wiki page and the Paris Agreement page. All information used in this article a part of the research project i have been working in since2014." Pinging User:Femke and User:Dtetta and User:Chidgk1. Although I can appreciate the intent to merge this with the overall Paris agreement article and reduce the overall number of articles dealing with the Paris agreement, I think it merits a status as a standalone article. The analogy is the fact that there are separate articles on the Kyoto Protocol and the Clean Development Mechanism. Numerous NGO reports, journal articles, and business news media stories cover how carbon trading is/will be addressed. Both Michael Gillenwater, and Derik Broekhoff, two experts who provided input on the Carbon offsets and credits article, are very active in research on this topic. Given the estimated future size of carbon markets, and the amount of literature describing it, I think it’s worth keeping as a standalone. Article 6 is the present day equivalent to what the CDM is/was under Kyoto. What’s really needed is to update this article to provide a thorough, current coverage of the issues involved in Article 6.
