Talk:Compulsive decluttering

I think there could be a few things added to this article. I will add facts about what symptoms of compulsive decluttering are, and how it can lead to potential financial burdens of those affected, and even their loved ones. I think the definition could also be expanded a bit, because it is not exactly a black and white "issue." I say "issue" because, I have further research to do before calling it a "disease," even though it seems as though it could be classified as one. Here are some of my future sources: [1] [2] [3]

When I use these sources, I will properly cite them in the article.

I think that you can add the signs and symptoms as well as what people can do to tame this condition. How this condition starts, how long this conditions last. Just add more information about this condition, also add how it affects other people. Alysha-Merkel7 (talk) 01:06, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Alysha-Merkel7[reply]

Sarah Kimes Peer Review

As there is very little information on this subject I would start by researching the subjects history/origin asking myself things like; Who discovered this? What is the history of the treatment?

I would make separate sections to discuss:

The symptoms and how it impacts the lives of the affected

How the condition is treated and who treats it.

Then: Outcomes of treatment

Then: Professionals who can provide treatment for this condition?

Then: Resource/reference section.

I would ensure my writing is correct by checking spell check and asking others to read my article for potential bias. I have found that using technical terms is a good way to show your perspectives are not present in your writing and that it is strictly factual.

Some places you might consider using as research for this article could include: The DSM Vhttps://dsm.psychiatryonline.org/doi/book/10.1176/appi.books.9780890425596

Our School's library under Abnormal Psychology or OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) The National Institute on Mental Health https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/psychotherapies/index.shtml might also be helpful to your research.Sarahkimes (talk) 18:01, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
