Contested deletion
This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... I am still working on it and fixing the references!!!!!! seriously. can you at least give me a few hours,. or at least let us save our work without having to publish it --Grapevine00 (talk) 11:55, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
- Adding a reference to a copyrighted piece of text does not allow Wikipedia to include that text. See WP:COPYPASTE for more information. I have cut this table again, as it seems to be lifted word-for-word from http://www.mediaentertainmentinfo.com/2013/04/2-concept-series-what-is-the-difference-between-ott-and-iptv.html and the OTRS permission mentioned on your talk page does yet not seem to have been confirmed.
- However, given that this source is just (your own?) blog, and this is the only source used for the article, I'm not sure "let's compare X to Y" meets the general notability guideline. --McGeddon (talk) 10:05, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
- It looks like the blogger (or someone using the blogger's name) uploaded their text as an image to WikiMedia commons a couple of days ago. This isn't sufficient to release the text for Wikipedia, as we have no way of confirming that the author of the text uploaded the image. The Wikipedia text donation process requires an email from "an address associated with the original publication" and an {{OTRS pending}} template to be added to this talk page. Or for the original source to give a clear statement of release.
- Given the lack of a release statement or an OTRS template, I assume this hasn't been done? I'll cut the table again until either a template or a release statement appears. --McGeddon (talk) 11:53, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
The email has been sent yesterday by the original author to wikipedia. I have now put the template on the talk page and added back the table. Is that ok? - Grapevine00
Hi, I am the author for the table and had been contact by Grapevine00. I uploaded the image to commons yesterday (Sep 9th) in addition to sending Declaration of consent email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. I have not received any Ticket Id for reference.
