I have removed the following two paragraphs:

The Codex decreed that pagan schools, temples, and games were forbidden, so that pagans would no longer have the opportunity to sin;

"...the pleasures of the theaters and games are to be kept from the people in all cities, and all the thoughts of Christians and believers are to be occupied with the worship of God."

It is assumed this quote is taken from C.Th. XI.vii.13, which actually orders the games and theatres closed on Sunday, as well as "Epiphany, Easter, and Pentecost" - not banned altogether

Is there a way to fix the Google Books Link for Pharr?

The current link leads here: https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Theodosian_Code_and_Novels_and_the_S/-ROBb7SIvYgC?hl=en&gbpv=1&pg=443

That defaults to the new style for Google Books, with the book pages in front of the book description. It's easy to scroll the book pages, even by accident, but this doesn't scroll the rest with them, so it can trigger migraines. If it's possible to force it into the old style, that shouldn't trigger migraines. 138.88.18.245 (talk) 19:53, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
