Accuracy?

I've removed the sole ref which was a marker pointing to the wrong location within Gibraltar Harbour. I've also fixed the text. The luxury homes are actually on a development just south of Coaling Island and simply called "The Island". Furthermore it cannot be referred to as an island as it is simply not - just a name :). I recall having read about the place's history as important coal stores where ships stopped to refuel in the 19th century on their way to India and other parts of the British Empire via the Suez Canal. I think this was from one of the Gibraltar Heritage Trust journals but I can't seem to locate it. Unfortunately if no one else can find reliable sources, the article remains unsourced... --Gibmetal 77talk 2 me 22:28, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2nd paragraph

What does the 2nd paragraph of this article have to do with the rest of the article. Connection is not obvious. This paragraph mentions 'island' but what 'island' is being referred to? The apparently misnamed 'Coaling Island' or 'Gibraltar Island' or ? Hmains (talk) 04:16, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - from travelling around Gib I can tell you that my impression is that there are no islands and Gibraltar has never been an island. This area may have been an island but land prices are such that reclamation is the priority and islands may have been abrorbed. This is 90% POV.
