Top description

On the top of the page, it says "They are available in numerous sizes, from large to miniature, but are usually around 1 cm in diameter." Really? ONE WHOLE CENTIMETER? That's a big chocolate chip to me. Maybe I just have not been exposed to enough chocolate chips, but perhaps the top could be rewritten and omit the "around", and add in the diameter of a mini chip?WIERDGREENMAN (talk) 16:30, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why are chocolate chips sometimes used in cookies? This needs additional sources for verification. 173.174.138.220 (talk) 13:40, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Melting temperature compared to regular chocolate

There's nothing in the article concering the higher melting temperature of chocolate chips compared to regular baking chocolate. Additives in the chocolate chips raise the melting temperature. I understand that this is done to ensure that the chips retain their shape when baked. Some people think these additives are detrimental to a good flavour/texture in the chocolate.

I've been told that there are recipes that are sufficiently temperature sensitive that chips will not produce a good result compared to baking chocolate. That seems odd to me, since the dofference is only a few degrees C. 99.245.230.104 (talk) 18:24, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

'See also' section of article should have relevant links

In my opinion, the 'See also' section of this article should contain relevant links as in my opinion it looks strange with no links. Xboxsponge15 (talk) 16:49, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Done For concerned editors that ask why I did this in the future; the section had no content at the time of this request. Cheers, IP! —Sirdog (talk) 15:48, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
