Temperament

Most of the information for temperament has since been removed, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done on this section. It's a little stump right now. --MMiller324 (talk) 16:00, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The first paragraph under "Temperament" is a mess. The first sentence reads: "How a Chihuahua behaves depends on the genetic temperament of their parents and grandparents". The last sentence says "The way a dog is trained will influence its behavior." Well, which is it? Also, I don't trust the source in the first sentence. It seems to be a popular dog breed info website, and I don't know what they're basing that claim on. Why would Chihuahua behavior be more genetically determined than that of other dogs? Obviously the answer to "which is it" would be both. Genetics and upbringing play a major role in the behavior of all dogs. As for why chihuahuas might be more bound by genetics vs upbringing compared to other dogs, a less developed brain on average could mean that they are on the lower end of learning capability. Chihuahua's are generally ranked at the low end of canine aptitude when it comes to things like trainability. 68.117.153.69 (talk) 05:39, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Health

There was vagely any specific details in this section. I added specific details to this paragraph to give some ideas of what to look for genetically in chihuahuas. It is important for others to understand this breed and to keep them as healthy as possible. Gator101520 (talk) 16:52, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
