not sure how these would fit in

i'll plop it here and leave it to the more learned folks to figure out the layout. but, that being said, here are a few more tidbits (i've spelled them as i've heard them pronounced. since i've seen only a few short examples of how the words are spelled and it seemed like each of those was different).

a couple of parting shots:

yes yehn (sounds like a sort of nasaly "yeen")
no keyoh (sounds more like single syllable "kyo" with a weak E between the K and Y)

/ɛ/ phoneme

The article says Chickasaw has an /ɛ/ phoneme, however, I've never heard of this. The letter <e> is pronounced [i], not [ɛ], so it seems like this may be a mistake.  –Benjamin  (talk)  18:46, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

hi. [ɛ] is short /a/. it should be clearer now. what's worse is i somehow forgot to write that there are 3 contrastive vowel lengths! thank you – ishwar  (speak) 20:00, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

There's a mistake. It says that Chickasaw has 16 consonants. But then the consonant chart lists 18 consonants. This needs to be fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Solomonfromfinland (talk • contribs) 22:53, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
