"the" model for Colonel Cantwell?
Given that the main character in Across the River and Into the Trees saw combat in World War I, before Lanham was born, might it not be more accurate to call him "a" model for the character? The link to the Hemingway bio in the references also does not support the conclusion. 68.46.89.171 (talk) 00:35, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
