Photo needed

Hello there. As a foreign user and not familiar with this type of bag, I'd like to see a photo of a carpetbag in the article, especially of the type that transforms itself into a rug to be used in a train wagon. Thank you. BlueSkies99 23:19, 6 January 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by BlueSkies999 (talkcontribs)

"The carpetbaggers of the Reconstruction era following the American Civil War were given their name from this type of luggage which they carried from the Scientific American Supplement, No. 561, October 2, 1886 [1]" This assertion is incorrect. The derisive term 'carpetbaggers' arose DURING Reconstruction, no thanks to an article in Scientific American appearing ten years after Reconstruction ended in 1877. For confirmation you need look no further than the wiki article on "carpetbaggers" which includes an historic political cartoon on the topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 6lbr (talkcontribs) 06:57, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
