Talk:Car brokers in Australia

I think the original external links were better (i.e. to carbroker.com.au and findcars.com.au. It was left well alone for a few months and all were (seemingly) happy. Then spammers came and inserted links to directory sites. I went in and restored the original links, only to be told that the only external link that meets the guidelines is one called "Australia's largest personalised car broker", which is not only factually incorrect (unless evidence exists otherwise) but also so spammy that even Google Adwords would not allow it. The other thing that has been screwed up with this article is that there is a photo of a car dealership with a caption "Car brokers such as this one....". A more suitable caption would be "Car Brokers are very different from dealerships".

Well Richard I am sure you think the original links were better as they were pointing to your own sites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.171.53.81 (talk) 11:24, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, everyone seems very NOT SPAMMERS here. I have been a very old contributor, even when i dont know how to sign up. When I learn some new topic, i do more research and find more information than that is present in wikipedia. I started learning about the car leasing industry in australia and yesterday and today, i added 7 links which are abruptly removed by user DMacks, who thinks am a spammer. This is one of the shameful event i came across in my entire life. Thanks to wiki for handing the authority to the spammers who think everyone is a spammer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Somesh.bmh (talkcontribs) 20:47, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:EL, as was mentioned on your talk-page. The links all appeared to be blogs, which are not reliable sources for purposes of sourcing and the content I saw on the sites I checked was not anything special that couldn't be included directly so they are also not appropriate for External Links listing.
