Since the game hasn't been released yet, and since this piece is promotional, perhaps there is no need for this piece.

I apologise, it isn't intended to be promotional,. And i thought if I could back up the ONE rumour mentioned that it would be acceptable, sorry. Can I delete it as the author?

It actually has a publisher in Europe now. So it's definitely coming out.

Looks like the North American publisher will be Ubisoft.

PEGI rating

According to the PEGI homepage, the current rating for Call of Juarez is 18+, not 16+, although it is shown on the cover picture (Boxcallofjuarez.jpg). Please upload a cover picture with the correct rating or without any ratings.

Visionary

This great game came out in 2006 - years before Juarez became internationally famous for the countless murders and violence. How come the game creators decided to make it specifically Juarez out of innumerable cities? --184.161.152.198 (talk) 06:20, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cover image

@Bertaut: I can't figure out why you replaced the European PC cover art with the North American cover art? The game was published in Europe first and the developer is European too. So why the NA cover art? — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 20:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexis Jazz:. Hey there. How's things? There's a couple of reasons. For one, the NA cover doesn't have the PC DVD logo, or the age rating etc, and that's generally preferred for cover-art where possible. Another thing is that the European cover that was in the article isn't the original European cover-art. It was used as the cover in various non-English speaking countries (Belgium, Netherlands, Scandanavia), but it was only used in the UK and Ireland for a budget re-release (the original Polish artwork is [https://www.mobygames.com/game/call-of-juarez/cover-art/gameCoverId,72048/ here; that's the cover on my version of the game). There are about five or six different covers used throughout Europe for various regions, so using any of them as the "European cover" is not entirely accurate. But I don't have a dog in the fight, if you wish to revert, by all means go ahead. Bertaut (talk) 21:20, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bertaut, no, it's fine. I thought you maybe changed it only for decorative reasons (it looks better, but that's not what fair use material is for) or US-centric reasons, but I see there's more. There's a case to be made for using the original Polish artwork, but the cover that was used previously is clearly not the right choice. Rather interesting how on the American cover the cowboy is prominent while on the Polish cover the bowhunter/Native American is prominent.
