Calhoun → Calhoun (disambiguation) – John C. Calhoun is the clear primary topic for "Calhoun" - pretty much every place here is named after him, and it's not like any of them have become that significant in their own right (for what it's worth, Calhoun gets about ten views per day, John C. Calhoun about 1000, and Calhoun, Georgia, the most populous city actually named Calhoun here - only about 100). It's very likely anyone arriving here is looking for information on John C. Calhoun. - Support per nomination. Unlike Henry Clay and Daniel Webster whose surnames are too common in the English-speaking world for use as redirects to them, "Calhoun" has little to no competition for the name and basically refers to John C. in the same manner as "Gladstone" overcomes the competition from the various places named after him and basically refers to William Ewart. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:42, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

- thatcher is also just a somewhat common word with a meaning outside of being a surname. Calhoun really isn't. Without additional context, if someone mentions "Calhoun", they are either talking about John C., or a place named after him. Elli (talk |contribs) 17:46, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
