Inadequate lead
This article's lead needs to be rewritten. It deals almost exclusively with the Gaelic origins of the place name, although this is not covered in the body of the article. And it fails to summarise most of the material that is covered in the body. I hope that a knowledgeable editor will rewrite the lead, but, if not, I will have a shot at doing so myself.
