Route information

Not that I support bus routes being on wikipedia but if they are going to be here... number Origin Destination 737 Mount Druitt Eastern Creek 738 Mount Druitt Eastern Creek

There is a space for "via". If you want to have bus routes here can you please differentiate the two routes? Garrie 04:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, why don't you give it a go. Quaidy 06:27, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, what part of
Not that I support bus routes being on wikipedia
did you not understand?
At least you are doing a good job of it! Garrie 00:22, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed move

I propose that the article be moved to the simpler name Busways

  • That is the full trading name of the company.
  • No other article exists at that name.
  • It is in keeping with other article names:
Hillsbus
Westbus
Shorelink
Sydney Buses

I'm all for pre-emptive disambiguation but the current name is quite long. Garrie 00:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree - It's only a name change, and it is much simpilar. Whats new? 08:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hidden table format. Wording...

Please note: /*Central Coast Services*/ includes the words

Timetables are as follows:

I suggest this is a red flag to many and should be revised!

I have put the Blacktown table into a hidable format (I am sure someone can tell me the name for this feature?) - I think it makes the article look better because if you aren't interested in the detail information you don't need to see it.

I think it would benefit the article if the Central Coast etc information was inserted into similar tables.

I am not sure if Busways own all the 7XX routes? Anyone want to make comment on that one?Garrie 11:07, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Busways logo.png

Image:Busways logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Busways (New South Wales)Busways (Australia) – Busways has been awarded a new bus contract in Adelaide, to start in July 2020. Marcnut1996 (talk) 03:25, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Busways (New South Wales)Busways – In addition to the above, the Busways page is a redirect to a disambiguation page, and no articles link to it. Marcnut1996 (talk) 22:28, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Seems obvious to me. Only caveat might be to wait until July just to make sure the contract goes ahead? Aoziwe (talk) 09:33, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. It's not WP:TOOSOON. The company also tendered in Adelaide in 2010 and Perth in both 2010 and 2011, so even without the new contract the current disambiguator is arguably over-specific. 94.21.219.87 (talk) 14:04, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Suggest article be renamed Busways, it being the primary topic. Presently Busways is a redirect to the Busway disambiguation article, with only 2 redirects: Busways Travel Services, a defunct operator in England, and this one. Hatmdarl (talk) 10:16, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay with that too, better guideline wise but not a big issue either way. Aoziwe (talk) 12:27, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm also ok with naming the article just Busways. Marcnut1996 (talk) 22:16, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nom: I have changed the target new name to just Busways as there are no articles linking to it at the moment, only 3 user and user talk pages. It currently redirects to the Busway disambiguation page. Marcnut1996 (talk) 22:28, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Main topic?

I see that this was not originally the main topic for "busways" but given that busway is a common single-word term for the concept of bus rapid transit in general, it seems a bit odd that this article would be reserved for a specific transportation operator. --Middle river exports (talk) 23:16, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
