Category for BTO people

Scope

Is the BTO researching birds all over the British Isles, or just the UK? The BTO website says UK, and the available surveys that they perform cover only the UK. The "Britain and Ireland" atlases was a partnership with the Irish Wildbird Conservatory. From various books, the history seems to support only "Britain" or the "UK", and describe the background of setting up the Trust to support the Oxford Ornithological Society who produced "The Oxford Bird Census" of British birds.
