The Claim - "Often considered to be the first "true" canal in England" where is the evidence to support this? The Sankey Canal is older, so what is this proviso of "true"? What is the definition of "true" This sounds like bias to me. Neither the Sankey or the Bridgewater was the first true canal in Britain. But, the Sankey was the first 'true canal' of the two. |
