Close paraphrasing

I'm afraid that the text previously published in this article far too closely paraphrased from [2]. While facts are not copyrightable, creative elements of presentation - including both structure and language - are. For an example of close paraphrasing, consider the following:

In 2008, the renowned publisher of books on African Studies, James Currey Ltd joined the Boydell and Brewer group of imprints. Founded in 1984, when James Currey left Heinemann Educational Books, this independent imprint continued his personal engagement in African publishing, which began with his first job at Oxford University Press, Cape Town, and continued through his role as publisher of the Heinemann African Writers series.

The article says:

...in 2008 James Currey Ltd, a well-known publisher of African Studies titles, joined the Boydell & Brewer family. James Currey Ltd. was launched in 1984 when it’s eponymous founder left Heinemann Educational Books.[10] This independent imprint continued Currey's personal engagement in African publishing, which began with his first job at Oxford University Press, Cape Town, and continued through his role as publisher of the Heinemann African Writers series.

There are other passages that follow too closely although none as extensively as this one.

So that it will not constitute a derivative work, this content must be rewritten if the information is to be included. The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing contains some suggestions for rewriting that may help avoid these issues. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism".

Alternatively, if the material can be verified to be public domain or permission is provided, we can use the original text with proper attribution.
