See "Bradshaw's Canals & Navigable Rivers of England and Wales [1904]" by Henry de Salis, reprinted by David & Charles, Newton Abbot, 1969 (Book No 7153 4689 X). The Birmingham & Warwick Junction Canal (B&WJC) did not connect with the Digbeth Branch Canal (DBC) but joined the Warwick & Birmingham Canal (W&BC) at Bordesley Junction half a mile south of the junction of the W&BC with the DBC, sometimes called Birmingham Bar.

The B&WJC's northern end was on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal (B&FC) at Salford Junction. Gravelly Hill interchange is the name of the road and motorway junctions that pass on viaducts above the canal junctions.

The latitude amd longitude co-ordinates of the three junctions (taken from O.S. maps on National Library of Scotland website) are: Bordesley Junction (B&WJB with W&BC): 52.4748 N, 1.8772 W; W&BC with DBC (Birmingham Bar); 52.4802 N, 1.8841 W; Salford Junction (B&WJC with B&FC): 52.5084 N, 1.8591 W. It is not geographically correct to say that any of them are in the centre of Birmingham.
