Copyright issue

Someone ought to go into detail on the other selves of the Billy Milligan system and their names and abilities. Battrarules

Not in Wikipedia. That would be considered a copyright infringement. In the article on Sybil someone listed her people and it was removed for legal reasons. --Bluejay Young 19:12, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the justification for the latter seems questionable to me. Eli the Barrow-boy 21:35, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How can something like that be copyrighted? The 24 personalities seem as integral to the biography of Milligan as Milligan himself, or the integrated "Professor". Also seems questionable to me.
Silly. Small excerpts *can* be used under fair use. Someone is simply lawyering on that issue. I have the book The Minds of Billy Milligan, so I'll be adding bits and pieces here and there. Wjhonson 23:43, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I put this information below. It was obtained from the Netflix docuseries "Monsters Inside: The 24 faces of Billy Milligan" Photolarry (talk) 06:59, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

i added the people to the list i do not know if this will be deleted or not, but it is posted for the time being. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.190.239.253 (talk) 01:55, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biography

I'll be adding details of his early life, from the book by Keyes. Note: these are not copyright infringements. They are used under fair use rules. Wjhonson 00:03, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I'm adding bits and pieces as I find them and as I feel they are useful. It won't be a smooth-flowing biography. So if anyone wants to take the bits and make a smooth narrative out of them, feel free. Wjhonson 00:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You should watch the netflix docuseries https://www.netflix.com/watch/81178695?trackId=155573558 and add things revealed in the limited series on Netflix Photolarry (talk) 06:58, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage

Why is Billy’s marriage not mentioned? Jhurley85 (talk) 23:50, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Where is evidence that he was married? It is not mentioned at all in the docuseries. Do you have a source? Photolarry (talk) 06:57, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

10/24 Personality Names according to the Netflix docuseries

After watching "Monsters Inside: The 24 faces of Billy Milligan" they do mention actually the 10 personalities of this man who suffered from MPD/DID. The following names are mentioned:

Billy Milligan - core personality Arthur - a sophisticated and educated Englishman who is in charge of the shared body. He appeared during times that required intellectual thinking. He was one of two personalities that could classify a person as an undesirable. [<-- no mention of the second "undesirable," and the Wikipedia article states, "Later on an additional 14 personalities, labeled "The Undesirables", were discovered." So, are there 2, 14, or even more undesirables?] Ragen Vadascovinich - a Yugoslavian “keeper of hate.” He had a Slavic accent, could write and speak in Serbian and was strong. He appeared in dangerous situations and admitted in committing robbery in order to support “the family.” Allen - a con man and manipulator. He was the only right-handed, painted portraits, played drums, and smoked cigarettes. Tommy - an escape artist, landscape painter, tenor sax player and electronics expert. Danny - afraid of society (especially men), and did still life paintings. David - an eight-year-old, “keeper of pain”. He took away the pain of others. Christene - a three-year-old dyslexic girl who would punish herself when “Billy” got in trouble in school. Christopher - Christene’s brother who knows how to play the harmonica. Adalana - a lesbian who wrote poetry, cooked, and was a harmonica player. She was accused of committing the 4 rapes without the knowledge of the other personalities.

Also according to this TV series, 14 other personalities formed during the decade in while Milligan was institutionalized:

Phil - a thug who had a Brooklyn accent and planned small crimes. Kevin - a criminal planner who helped plan a drug store robbery. Walter - an Australian big-game hunter who had an excellent sense of direction. He was often used as a spotter. April - only wanted to get rid of Billy’s stepfather. She tried to convince Ragen to kill him. Samuel - a Jew and the only one who believes in God. Mark - the workhorse who only took orders. Steve - the imposter who used imitations for comedy. His comedic outbursts caused conflict within the family. Lee - a prankster who did not care about consequences of his action. His jokes caused trouble to the family and put him in solitary confinement. Jason - a pressure valve. Used to release tension for others, especially for the family. Bobby - an adventurer who had no ambitions. Shawn - a four-years-old and deaf child who never took the spotlight. Martin - a snob from New York who felt entitled. Timothy - a florist who became gay after a gay man flirted with him.
