Inconsistency in rank of John Churchill
In the "Background section it refers to "The royalist troops, led by Louis de Duras, 2nd Earl of Feversham, and Colonel John Churchill". However in the "Royalist force" section Churchill is listed as a General. It stated later that Churchill was promoted to Major General after the Monmouth Rebellion. Thus he could have still been a Colonel, but I know in at least one dramatic adaptation he is shown to be appointed Brigadier General at the start of the campaign (ie before the Battle of Sedgemore), so it could be this is the case. I think that it would be good if somebody could conclusively establish his rank and then make sure it is consistent throughout the article. Dunarc (talk) 22:05, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
