Admirable filly that she was, Awaasif was not the best British 3yo of 1982: that was Time Charter, who beat her fair and square on the only time they met that year. Timeform got it right: the IC were wrong, perhaps because they took the view that the Arc HAD to be the best race of the year. The Arc attracts more good horses than any other race, but it does produce some funny results. POV alert! Tigerboy1966 23:38, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
