– Per WP:PRECISION and WP:RECOGNIZABLE, and for WP:CONSISTENCY with all the prior RMs that resulted in Nicastrese goat, Argentine Criollo cattle, Algerian Arab sheep, Anglo-Nubian goat, West African Dwarf goat, Indo-Brazilian cattle, British White cattle, Welsh Black cattle, Florida White rabbit, Anatolian Black cattle, Uzbek Black goat, Korean Native pig, etc.

All of these are descriptive of genuine human populations, and only animal breed experts would intuit that they don't refer to people, so the existing names fail WP:PRECISION policy (and probably also WP:RECOGNIZABLE, since only experts in obscure breeds of particular kinds of livestock, not domesticated animals generally, will recognize them at all). We routinely (and WP:NATURALly not parenthetically) disambiguate animal breed names in any cases where confusion may result.     • Good catch! At least someone followed the links before !voting. I propose to interpret it as intended under wp:snow. It's particularly red-face material as nom is the only editor of the proper target Australian White sheep as follows: 11:17, 2 October 2014‎ SMcCandlish (talk | contribs | block)‎ . . What happened was that in the course of noting that "Australian White" was just like "Welsh Black", "Florida White", etc., and needed to move, I also noticed the conflict between the Australian White sheep and Australian White rabbit breeds, and forgot which one I was actually editing the talk page of. I've corrected the RM text (with strikethrough) so the RM makes sense to later readers.  — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼  12:16, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
