Included information?

There were two passages which I am not sure should be included in the article (one seems more like a local matter with some national significance while the other is trivia that nobody at the moment can be able to confirm):

Attleboro is home to the inventor of the famed jump-hook basketball shot. It was perfected in the city's northern section near Claire Drive.

Wot, no Paddleboro?

http://www.nerve.com/dispatches/chihara/paddleboro may be one of the few reasons anyone has heard of Attleboro in recent history. 50.78.11.193 (talk) 18:01, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Radically fails WP:NOTNEWS and as such does not belong. John from Idegon (talk) 19:57, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Religion

174.254.194.87 undid a lot of work I did. I understand the "wikipedia is not a directory" comment, however previously it listed places of worship in an arbitary order with their street addresses, which reflects a directory to me.

I removed the addresses, added denominational affiliation, sorted by date the entry was created, significant pieces of history, and removed arbitrary reference to service time.

All references are an effort to disambiguate the information and verify the information I researched.

If the consensus is to remove the citations, I am fine with that but please do not wholesale revert my work as it clarifies and adds structure to an area that desperately needed cleanup (and unsourced statements).

I would encourage you to review WP:City structure for additional guidance. I think listing every single place of worship is a bit much, however, if a new section titled Culture was created, a few of the more notable churches (ie La Salette) could be mentioned. New High School

I added the sub-section of the infrastructure on the high school because I think it's important to keep an update on the cities new school. Any problems with it? Also please add some more sources if needed Ldasi (talk) 00:10, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of churches

@Coemgenv: I reverted your addition of a long list of non-notable and mostly unsourced churches. Nowhere at WP:USCITIES does it suggest listing every church, library, park, fire hall, post office, or school in the city. If a particular church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Bristol County, Massachusetts, or has a Wikipedia article, then sure. Otherwise, let's try to keep the article encyclopedic and free of cruft. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:53, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Magnolia677 what does the comment "unsourced" mean? obviously there are tons of facts not sourced in the article, doesn't mean they should be removed. while it's fair to say that the list should not be as exhaustive as it is, wholesale removing a fairly significant civic institution section wholesale is more significant an impact than a "cruft section" Coemgenv (talk) 19:29, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Coemgenv: Please take a moment to read WP:BURDEN. Which of the removed churches were significant? Do you have sources to support that? Magnolia677 (talk) 21:46, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
