History section seems too oriented to the Nicaraguan point of view as it only speaks on the history of the conflict omiting parts of the Colombian POV.

The article is fair. Lets wait for the Hague to resolve the dispute between the two countries. - Gabriel Solorzano
I've now added the English puritan settlers point-of-view! :-) Carcharoth 16:24, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A INFOBOX DIFFERENCES A

I don't see any problem by using the country infobox, it just provides more material, since the department infobox looks a little "creepy", using the country infobox will also tel about the present situation in which the lands are disputed. I think it doesn't matter however.

San Andres is not a country! If you don't like the infobox design one yourself and then propose it at WP:COL. In case of approval you will also have to change the infoboxes in the other 31 departments of Colombia articles to keep the standard. --F3rn4nd0 (Roger - Out) 05:12, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'll see what do I do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.218.69.252 (talk) 21:19, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New article in NY Times

Might be good for writing about the current political situation as well as the conflicting claims of Nicaragua and Columbia. See: here. --Bobak (talk) 15:03, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Good history and geo sections, adding in econ and some cleanup would get this well on way to completion. Hwonder talk contribs 01:01, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alburquerque, Albuquerque

It's Cayo Alburquerque on Google Maps.

It's mostly Albuquerque on Google.

Both are used in this article.

Seems to be the same place.
