Fair use rationale for Image:Andrew and Nellie Kehoe.jpg

Insane?

One can only speculate, as to the reason for Kehoe's actions. I would guess it had nothing to do with taxes. He had financial resources. He simply chose to stop paying his mortgage. That appears to be just one part of a larger plan. When he killed his wife and destroyed his house, he also destroyed his fences, livestock, equipment, and shade trees. As if he wanted to leave nothing of value behind, for the mortgage company or anyone else. Highly intelligent, but petulant, Kehoe planned his actions for many months. The trigger may have been his election defeat. Rejection and humiliation. This looks like an act of revenge against the whole town (by killing their children). I would be surprised if he was "insane". Perhaps something more like a personality disorder. Gulbenk (talk) 23:13, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
First suicide bomber?
At the end of the first section, it states that Kehoe was the first suicide bomber in history. But this article has a few earlier examples of suicide bombings:

When did his mother die?
The article says "his mother died when he was five" but the info box on the right says she lived from 1835 to 1890, which would make him 18 years old at the time of her death. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kadmium (talk • contribs) 09:23, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
The details of his stepmother's death are also somewhat suspect. The article states that she died when Andrew was aged 14, which would be circa 1886. However, Find A Grave notes that Philip Kehoe had three wives: the first died in 1861, eleven years before Andrew was born, the second was Mary, Andrew's mother d.1890, and the third is listed as Francis Murphy-Wilder Kehoe (1859 - 1911). That would imply that his stepmother died when Andrew was infact 39. It's possible that Philip Kehoe had another wife in between Mary and Francis who is simply not listed on Find A Grave, but there are definitely some dating issues going on here. --Wulfran85 (talk) 12:29, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Propasal: Merge with Bath School Disaster

I really have to disagree. The Bath School Disaster is one of the most high profile attacks on a school in US history. Kehoe also has a important enough backstory. Found a more detailed photo of Kehoe
Ear Hustle 411, did an article that featured a more detailed photo of Andrew Kehoe. I'm not sure whether or not it's worth using it instead.

- If anyone is interested in reading the original article (EarHustle411 re-used an article written by Judy Putnam - dated May 20, 2016 - in The Lansing State Journal), here's the link: Evil of Bath School Disaster remembered 89 years later. There's also a gallery of photos there but they all would seem to be owned by the Lansing State Journal and cannot be used in Wikipedia (which needs public domain or CC-BY-SA licensed images). Recent edits
This edit by IP editor 70.210.133.185 restored recent changes by 2606:a000:ed02:a200:90f9:6c06:4753:ff11 in content that had been reverted. Regardless of what we editors might think, the source does not state that Kehoe himself detonated the dynamite/pyrotol in his truck. The source says the explosives went off during the struggle between Huyck and Kehoe. Let's discuss etc. Shearonink (talk) 15:22, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
