Origin of Ames strain
References I've seen say the Ames strain was collected from a cow in Texas, not a kitten in Alabama.
The author list for reference 1 is improperly truncated. The correct full list is: Rasko DA, Worsham PL, Abshire TG, Stanley ST, Bannan JD, Wilson MR, Langham RJ, Decker RS, Jiang L, Reade TD, Phillippy AM, SL Salzberg , Pop M, Van Ert MN, Kenefic LJ, Keim PS, Fraser-Liggett CM, and Ravel J
If not presenting the full list, one would expect at least an "et al" to indicate that other researcher's work was involved in the production of the manuscript.
