Romanian Quote marks

Shouldn't Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iaşi be changed to Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza“ din Iași to use romanian quote marks and Iași not Iaşi (comma not cedilla)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.112.19.31 (talk) 13:07, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

Alexandru Ion Cuza University of IaşiAlexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi — The title of the article should indicate the full name of the university. Unfortunately when I moved the title, I misprinted the title which correctly should include Ioan not Ion. I am not able to correct this because the required title exists already as a redirect. • Comment - I have no particular objection to the move, although:
    • a) We don't always use full names: Stanford University not Leland Stanford Junior University; Harvard University not The President and Fellows of Harvard College; Ohio State University not The Ohio State University, etc.
    • b) We'll need to change some links, starting with the templates, and think about what to do with Category:University of Iaşi. The move should not simply happen in isolation.
    • c) Is there any argument aside from official name as to why we should move? Perhaps "University of Iaşi" is more commonly used. That should be investigated. - Biruitorul Talk 19:28, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment In any case, the correct name is written with an s-comma, not a ş. Jafeluv (talk) 14:55, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, but before moving to s-comma, we should first initiate a wider discussion about moving all Romania-related pages to use s-comma and t-comma. After all, it would be rather absurd to have just this one at s-comma and all the others at s-cedilla, would it not? - Biruitorul Talk 16:05, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
      • Hmm, I agree. This needs to be discussed in a larger scale somewhere. Jafeluv (talk) 05:28, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • To fix the page history problem, I have performed the move. It is to the ş version for now, but if a consensus arises to change this to s-comma, this page history error is now fixed and it can now be done without administrator clean-up. COGDEN 23:01, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
