That reference is not so reliable. Look at these senteces:

  • Unfortunately the news of Mr. Mohammadi's hunger strike was not widespread.
  • Mr. Mohammadi will live in my heart and the hearts of all freedom loving Iranians. He will never be forgotten and his death will not be in vein. As long as our country has brave and courageous people like him the Islamic Regime will never win.

It's a biased article on that website. In other english news websites there is nothing about it. I'll put a fact template in front of that sentence till someone find a reliable and unbiased source. Hessam 19:35, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The arguments you bring are sensible indeed. Nevertheless, this edit that you've made earlier raises concern regarding your possible motives. Since not all news sources have reported the beating of Mr. Mohammadi, we wrote that *reportedly* it happenned and cited the reporting source. There's an obvious difficulty in getting multiple citable sources from inside Evin Prison. In fact, any such inside information is likely to be biased to some extent. Once an international investigation is allowed of the incident, it will be possible to substantiate the reported events. --88.152.56.209 05:01, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please just talk about subject not the person(see:WP:PA). See what an administrator says about that edit. See the footnote of iranian.ws website. The content is just what the writer says! Iranian.ws is not a reporting sources. Seems more like a weblog. Now search "Sa‌yeh Ha‌‌ssan" on google [1]. Less than 3 page result and most of them linked to that article. The person dosn't seem to be an important person or specialist. See WP:V and WP:OR. That claim should be removed. I'll now comment it waiting for reliable source as WP:V policy says. The fact that the news of Akbar Mohammadi's existence and killing leaked is unusual in a regime that suppresses truths to the utmost and runs the entire press.--Patchouli 05:35, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps.
Although, the fact that this story was divulged to the press by individuals within Iran doesn't surprise me in the least.
Despite having one of the most repressive, anti-democratic regimes on the planet Iranians still manage to dessiminate information outward.
They're connected through satellite hookups, cell phones, and of course, the Internet.
The idea that the Iranian regime can just wantonly murder people like Akbar Mohammadi and Zahra Kazemi, and conceal it from the public in perpetuity, in our age is a bit outdated.

Akbar's Birth year

According to the engraves on Akbar's gravestone, his birth year is 1969 (check it here: http://i10.tinypic.com/35k0376.jpg)

You can also refer to a short documentary by the Swedish Channel 4 TV http://webbtv.tv4.se/webtv/tv4/showContent.do?treeId=1&progId=84713&itemId=85065&cat=tv4_se.4600.91 (documentary starts at approximately 5 min 40 seconds into the online video)

I updated his birth year accordingly.

The external links section contained a number of news articles on the topic. Many of these seem appropriate to integrate into the article, but having a long list of related news seems unnecessary. I've added them here in case anyone (including me!) wants to use them for future expansions. Cheers, Khazar2 (talk) 03:56, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
