Behaviour description seems a bit subjective

The sentence "It's originally from Africa and is the most beautiful, bellicose, aggressive and eager to fight, of the cichlids" is more like a personal comment than an accurate description. Most beautiful? That's a very subjective statement. Most bellicose and agressive? Not really. They are/can be agressive, but not "the most". I've had cichlids of several species for a while now and this supposed agressivity is very relative. If you look for a general description of (mostly african) cichlids everybody will say they are agressive almost as "by default". There are species that are reported of being not as agressive as others... until there's a specific reason for them to be agressive, like when breeding. Or if there is another similar fish with a similar colour pattern in the same tank for example. Or not enough space for them to define their own territory... and so on. IUCN Red List

The IUCN Red List ranks them as "Least Concern". Should this be added?--Aquakeeper14 (talk) 23:47, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
