Manuscript
The manuscript of K617 is in the BL - as the article says, it was collected by Zweig and seems to have been given to the BL in 1986 having been loaned to them for some years before that. Here it is in its digital glory. Best wishes to all, DBaK (talk) 07:07, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
Recordings
I know it's not our job to be the Penguin Guide to CDs or whatever, but I wonder if it might be possible to add a properly-sourced word on recordings of this work? It might be helpful to readers to know where to go to hear it as written. This is hardly scientific research, but on a quick look at three recordings on iTunes I found only one that seemed to be the right solo instrument - the others were a piano and some little pingy thing like a celesta. Neither of these gave the full friction-buzzing otherworldly effect of the third, which I am guessing (from a position of near-total ignorance) was the Real Deal. Best wishes DBaK (talk) 08:28, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, I was thinking that there should be a section on "use of alternative instruments." thanks DB - kosboot (talk) 11:37, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
Publication
An early, though I see not the first, publication was as a piano/winds/strings quintet ("Op. 20") by Simrock in 1807. (OCLC 1085241895 .) ELSchissel (talk) 00:35, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
